Who We Are

Self Employed Tools (selfemployedtools.co.uk) is an independent directory of AI tools for UK Sole Traders and sole traders. We are operated from the United Kingdom and process data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What Data We Collect

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data including: pages visited, time on site, approximate location (country/region), device type, and referral source. No personally identifiable information is collected via analytics. IP addresses are anonymised.

Form Submissions

If you submit a tool via our Submit Tool form, we collect your email address (optional), tool name, URL, and description. This data is processed by Formspree (formspree.io) and used solely to review your submission.

Newsletter Sign-Up

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address to send the UK Freelancer AI Toolkit PDF and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies

We use localStorage to store your cookie consent preference. If accepted, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that persist for up to 2 years. No advertising or tracking cookies are set by us directly.

Analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default). Form submission data is retained for up to 12 months or until you request deletion. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.
